Lead Pastor Gene Oden served continuously in church leadership for 18 years, while working full time in the business world. Retired from a career in construction management, Gene now leverages his leadership skills for a higher calling. For over five years in the 1990's Gene served as Worship Leader for Agape Life Church in Arvada, Colorado. Moving to Enterprise, Alabama in 1997, Gene served as Worship Leader for Extreme Youth Ministries at Glory to Him Fellowship for three and a half years. Beginning in 2001, Gene served on staff at Cornerstone Church in Dothan, Alabama for over six years as Minister of Music, and for three years as Youth Pastor in The Loft, Cornerstone's student ministry.
An anointed leader and inspiring preacher, Gene teaches God's pure word with a keen awareness of the need for cultural relevance and practical application. With a heart for whole family ministry, Gene and his wife Leslie are the founding pastors of Crossroads Community Church in Enterprise, Alabama.

Leslie Oden

 | Leslie received Christ at age 28, and has seen first hand the power of God to transform a life. Since 1989, she's been a "stay at home" mom. Formerly an airline reservations and travel agency manager, Leslie decided being home with her kids was a better job. Less pay, more benefits!
Leslie has served the local church and community in a variety of ways over the years. In the local elementary and junior high schools, she has been an active parent volunteer, committee chair, PTO officer, reading tutor, and after-school Bible Club teacher and coordinator. She has led several women's Bible study groups, and is a passionate student of God's word. Leslie enjoys her role as mentor, counselor and encourager to many women around the country. She loves to write, and has recently begun writing a daily devotional for women called "Chick Food".
Leslie and Gene served in music ministry together for over 16 years, as Youth Pastors in The Loft at Cornerstone for over three years, and also led the college ministry there. She loves to plan and host events that bring people together, and organize outreach events that make a difference in the community. Leslie is excited about leading Crossroads' small group ministry, and watching people grow as they do life together. Gene and Leslie have been married for 27 years. Together, they have 4 children, and also a son in California. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys watching her kids' many activities, reading, and riding absolutely anywhere on the Harley with Gene.
